Following the success of our September networking drinks, our
November drinks will also offer our members the opportunity to meet and
discuss with Minister of Tourism of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Aris
Spiliotopoulos who will be in London on the occasion of the
participation of the Greek National Tourism Organisation at The World
Travel Market 2008.
The drinks reception will be held at JP Morgan’s offices in St Paul’s
and will end promptly at 19h00. The event is free of charge for members
of the Hellenic Bankers Association-UK. As the event will take place at
JPMorgan’s offices - ensure access to the building and reception -
please indicate your attendance by emailing us in advance.

The Greek Minister of Economy and Finance, George Alogoskoufis, will give a lecture on “Europe in the Global Economy” at the London School of Economics on Thursday 13 November at 18.30 and address the impact of globalisation, the international financial crisis and its impact on Europe, on the prospects of the Lisbon Strategy, the Stability and Growth Pact and the European Social Model.

Our inaugural Academic Lecture Series will feature one of the world's most experienced and renowned business strategy professors – Costas C. Markides of the London Business School - who is also a Fellow of the World Economic Forum in Davos. Professor Markides will be sharing his perspectives on the subject of "From Knowing to Doing: Why most of us do not do what we know we should do, and how to overcome this ‘disease’ ”.
The event will be held in cooperation with the Hellenic Club and a drinks reception will follow. The entire event is free of charge for members of the Hellenic Bankers Association-UK but costs £15 for non-members. As seats are limited please reserve at:
