Our Executive Committee is elected by Regular Members on a bi-annual basis and consists of 9 Regular Members. It is responsible for running the Hellenic Bankers Association UK and managing its activities and it is advised by our Chairman’s Circle.

Louis Loizou
ChairmanLouis Loizou is a partner at the investment banking boutique firm Loizou & Co and the multi-family office GC Privé. He worked previously for Citigroup, Barclays Capital and Kleinwort Benson. He is a “Freeman” of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers and the City of London. He holds a BSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics from LSE and an MSc in Mathematical Finance from Christ Church College, University of Oxford.

Viki Fotopoulou
Vice ChairmanViki Fotopoulou has worked in the investment banking divisions of some of the world’s largest banks. She has studied Economics in the Athens University of Economics and has a MSc in Financial Economics from the University of Essex. She is a member of diversity networks at her employer and in the City of London. Viki believes a lot in synergies and team spirit and actively supports and promotes mentoring and charity initiatives through the networks she participates.

Greg Hadjigrigoriadis
Head of Communications CommitteeGreg Hadjigrigoriadis is a Business Development Manager in the Asset-Based Lending team of BNP Paribas. He serves in the UK Commercial Finance’s Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. He worked as an Investment Banking Associate at Credit Suisse in the UK and Switzerland and previously, he established a small retail business in Greece. His previous work experience includes internships with The Blackstone Group, Citigroup and Rothschild. Greg is currently a part-time MBA candidate at Imperial College Business School. He holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from London School of Economics and Political Science (Merit) and a BSc (Hons) in Investment and Financial Risk Management (First Class Honours) from Cass Business School.

Argyris Chatzilias
Head of Management Committee18 years’ experience in origination, structuring, execution and management roles in Global Banking and Capital Markets. Currently, he is a Director and Sector Head at HSBC Global Banking and Markets in London. He has covered clients in various sectors including Infrastructure, Energy, Professional Services, Technology, Media and Telecommunications.
Prior to HSBC, he spent three years in multi-asset investments supporting brokerage firms in research to make recommendations to their clients. Holds a BSc. in Mathematics from the University of Athens, Greece and an MBA from the National Technical University of Athens and Athens University of Economics and Business.

Marinos Vathis
Head of the Development & Strategy CommitteeMarinos Vathis is the Country Manager of NBG in London. He started his career in corporate banking in the mid 80s with Midland Bank/ HSBC. In his long career in banking he has held senior positions in corporate, capital markets, retail and consumer banking. For the past 18 years he has managed banking operations in London, Paris, Athens and Belgrade with an expertise in corporate restructuring.
He holds a BA in Economics from the City of London Polytechnic and two Postgraduate degrees in Monetary Economics and in Business Finance from Kent and Reading universities respectively.

Xenofon Zacharoudis
Head of Finance and Membership CommitteeXenofon Zacharoudis has worked in the internal monitoring and regulatory reporting team of a leading international banking group’s corporate and institutional banking unit.
Xenofon has studied Applied Informatics, is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments and a “Freeman” of the Worshipful Company of International Bankers and the City of London.

Michael Dimopoulos
Head of Events CommitteeMichael has 23 years of Business IT and Management consulting experience primarily in Banking and Capital Markets. He has held leadership roles at Capgemini, CGI, Grant Thornton UK LLP and Kentavros Technology Partners. Michael is passionate in helping financial institutions drive their business transformation journey to become data-powered digital-enterprises while improving governance, performance and regulatory compliance.
Michael holds a first-class BSc in Mathematics and Computer Science (University of Sussex), MSc in Analysis, Design and Management of Information Systems (London School of Economics & Political Science) and executive education in Business Strategy (London Business School), Leading High Performance teams (Cambridge Judge Business School) and Leading Professional Services Firms (Harvard Business School).
Michael is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (Chartered MCSI); Charter Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS CITP); Charter Engineer (CEng); and PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).
