Building on the long-standing collaboration between the Hellenic Observatory, LSE and the HBA UK - two institutions united by their commitment to advancing dialogue on Greece’s economic and financial future - this event will explore how past reforms and new policies can sustain Greece’s resilience, competitiveness, and innovation trajectory.
From public debt and inflation to growth, education reform, and digital governance, the discussion will illuminate the policy choices shaping Greece’s economic transformation.

Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Minister for the National Economy and Finance of Greece
Mr Pierrakakis is a graduate of the Athens University of Economics and Business and holds postgraduate degrees from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Before entering government, he served as Research Director at diaNEOsis, and from 2019 to 2023, as Minister of State and Digital Governance, leading major initiatives in Greece’s digital transition.
