2023 HBA-UK Student Award

The Hellenic Bankers Association (HBA) UK announces the launch of the highly anticipated 3rd consecutive HBA-UK Student Award for students from Greece and Cyprus who are currently studying in Greece, Cyprus, or the UK. This distinguished award aims to champion students with a desire to venture into the realm of finance-related disciplines while pursuing further studies or forging a career in the UK.

The £1,000 award is given annually to the student who produces the best piece of written work (in English) related to finance, as judged by an HBA-UK panel of academics and practitioners within the field of finance. Besides, this prestigious award will include mentoring and networking opportunities within the vibrant Hellenic community of the City of London.

The 2023 HBA-UK Student Award ceremony will take place in London on the 9th of December 2023 with the awardee having the opportunity to explain their work to the audience.

Participation Process: Greek and Cypriot students at the post-secondary education college or university level in Greece, Cyprus, and the UK are eligible to participate. Eligible candidates encompass both those currently pursuing their studies and those who have graduated since the year 2022. They should register their written work (between 1,000 to 3,000 words) in English, accompanied by their CV and cover letter, at hba@hellenicbankers.org.uk no later than the 15th of October 2023.

Participating students are invited to choose their own topic of interest. Emphasis will be placed on its innovative character and out-of-the-box thinking.
